I am currently based in Montreal, Canada but I am a US citizen and easily able to relocate as needed.
The Personal
My entire career in the fashion industry started because I wanted to impress a woman I was dating. I was a recent college graduate with a 4 year degree in Illustration and I wanted to be a starving artist. I realized very quickly that’s only romantic in movies…in real life, I wasn’t cut out to be a starving artist. In 2006 I took up a job cutting fabric swatches and it turns out I had a knack for the industry. Apparel and accessories industry is a perfect mix of artistry, technical prowess, and sharp business acumen. I learned everything on the job and learned from some of the best people. Fashion has allowed me to make life long friends, travel the world, be inspired by incredible people, be frustrated, be amazed…
…but most important of all - It has allowed me to bring to life all the ideas I had in my head. We often forget how powerful it is to actualize your dreams and visions; to hold your creation in your hands for all the world to see. I never take such a fortunate life for granted.
The free clothes are a nice perk too. It’s the reason I’ve managed to stay sample size :)
